MP3 Cut

MP3 Cut is a simple to use webtool that allows you to trim MP3s online. Simply upload an MP3, select the interval that you wish to keep by sliding two bars on the timeline for the song, and then it will automatically split the song or audio file and let you download the new version. While this was design to be a great way to make ring-tones for your cell phone, it can be useful in school as well for very basic audio editing for projects.
