Google Blockly

Bookmark and Share

Google Blockly is a web-based, graphical programming language. Users can drag blocks together to build an application. No typing is required which makes this a great introduction to programming as well as the concept of cause and effect. The interface is similar to the formerly Google owned and now MIT run APP Inventer as well as Scratch, this is a great place to learn the very basics of coding. However, it is not yet as comprehensive as either of those two offerings. Knowing Google and the push from many places to teach basic programming today, this is a tool that I think we will be hearing more about in the near future.
